Whose lives were destroyed by the cruelty of war

Let us light a candle in the name of all grandmothers
Who take care of grand children even when they are feeble
Let us light a candle in the name of all strong women
Who struggle for their rights, for peace and democracy
To build a better world without violence and destruction.

I start to wish all happiness to the womens that I know, and send you a big big hug! Make everyday International Women's Day. Do your bit to ensure that the future for girls is bright, equal, safe and rewarding.

This Day has been observed since in the early 1900's, a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies.
The tradition sees men honouring their mothers, wives, girlfriends, colleagues, etc with flowers and small gifts. In some countries IWD has the equivalent status of Mother's Day where children give small presents to their mothers and grandmothers.

my opinion is, that we don't need a day to spoil and honor women's...but for those who forgotten that the women's are a part of our life...8 March is the perfect day to remember :)
